Meet Dr. Tom Margolis

Even within the elite group of Subspeciality Board Certified and Fellowship Trained Pelvic Surgeons/Urogynecologists in the United States, Dr. Margolis has distinguished himself as one of the nation’s preeminent authorities on complex urogyncologic procedures. Dr. Margolis has performed more than 30,000 surgical procedures, 600 mesh removals and 1,000 fistula repairs to date.
A medical career spanning over 25 years traces its roots to residency at the University of Kansas under Dr. Kermit Krantz, cofounder of the gold standard surgery for stress urinary incontinence, the Marshall Marchetti Krantz procedure. After residency, Dr. Margolis completed a Pelvic Surgery Fellowship in 1991 at Emory University under the direction of world-renowned gynecologic surgeon Dr. Clifford Wheeless. Building on the mentorship of the legends in the field, Dr. Margolis has built his own impressive legacy as a full-time urogynocology sub-specialist since 1992.
